We are a family owned and operated audiology practice that is dedicated to our patients and their families.
We offer a full range of preventative and diagnostic hearing services, including hearing tests, hearing aid sales and repair, hearing protection, rehabilitative and preventative counseling, video otoscopy, wax removal, and tympanometry screenings. We only partner with the hearing aid manufacturers that stay on the cutting edge of the latest advancements in the hearing industry.
We also specialize in treating tinnitus or “ringing in the ears”. Unlike many audiologists, our tinnitus treatment options are not limited to digital hearing aids. We offer several tinnitus treatments including the SoundCure Serenade Tinnitus Treatment, Neuromonics Tinnitus Prototcol, Widex Zen Tinnitus Treatment, The Inhibitor Device, and Tinnitus Retraining Therapy (TRT).
As a pratice with a rich family history, our specialists are a mother (Karen Swensson, BC-HIS) and daughter (Dr. Julie Prutsman, Au.D., FAAA) that have a combined experience of 45 years helping individuals get the most out of life through better hearing. Karen, whose father started the family in the hearing care profession, represents the second of the three generations of hearing professionals. She truly understands from firsthand experience what does and does not work to improve hearing. Dr. Julie, owner and founder of the Sound Relief Hearing Center, is a graduate from the University of Colorado. She also serves as our tinnitus and invisible hearing aid expert. Both Karen and Dr. Julie have a passion for improving people’s lives through better hearing.
